Inc. APCO International is the
worlds oldest and largest not-for-profit
professional organization dedicated to the
enhancement of public safety
communications. With more than 15,000
members around the world, APCO International
exists to serve the people who operate,
manage, maintain, and supply the
communications systems used to safeguard the
lives and property of citizens everywhere.
The Florida Chapter
was founded September 20, 1944 and is 964
members strong from all areas of the Public
Safety community. The Chapter is always
looking to increase membership and offer you
numerous opportunities to broaden your
horizons.
What is happening in
Florida? Our priority for 2008 is State
Certification. In the spring, a group of
APCO members visited Tallahassee for the
2008 Legislative Session to introduce a bill
for State Standards and Certification for
911 Emergency Dispatchers.
